Editorial Policy

This page explains how we research, write, review and update the content on getfemicor.com, and how we keep our affiliate relationships separate from our conclusions.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

1. Our Standards

Health content can affect real decisions, so we hold ourselves to these principles:

  • Accuracy — every factual claim about an ingredient or health condition should be supported by a reliable source.
  • Balance — we present benefits, limitations, side effects and alternatives, not just selling points.
  • Transparency — we disclose how we make money and clearly separate manufacturer claims from independent evidence.
  • Clarity — we write in plain English and explain technical terms.
  • Safety first — we always explain who should avoid a product and when to see a doctor.

2. Who Writes Our Content

Our articles are researched and written by Hattty, a biochemist with experience researching dietary supplements and their ingredients. Our content is not written or reviewed by a physician unless an article explicitly says so.

3. Sources We Use

We prioritize sources in this order:

  1. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses (for example, Cochrane reviews)
  2. Randomized controlled trials in humans
  3. Other human studies (observational, open-label)
  4. Government and regulatory sources, such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the U.S. FDA and the European Medicines Agency
  5. Laboratory and animal studies, and traditional use — always labeled as such

We use the manufacturer's own website and product label for information about formulas, prices and policies, and we attribute that information to the manufacturer.

4. How We Rate Evidence

StrongConsistent results from systematic reviews or multiple good-quality human trials.
ModerateSome supportive human trials, but limited, mixed or indirect.
TraditionalLong history of use recognized by herbal authorities, with few modern trials.
Early / LimitedMainly laboratory or animal research, or very little research of any kind.

Ratings apply to individual ingredients. Unless a clinical trial of the finished product exists, we say so clearly.

5. Testimonials and Reviews

We do not invent reviews or testimonials. When we show testimonials published by a manufacturer, we label them as such and note that we cannot verify them. Our own ratings are clearly presented as our editorial opinion.

6. Affiliate Links and Independence

We earn commissions from some links on this site (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Manufacturers and affiliate networks do not review, approve or pay for specific content, ratings or conclusions. We include weaknesses, safety concerns and alternatives even when they may reduce sales.

7. Updates and Corrections

We review our main articles regularly and update them when new research is published, a formula or price changes, or a reader points out an error. Each article shows its last-updated date. If you spot something inaccurate, please email contact@getfemicor.com with details and a source. We will review it and correct confirmed errors promptly.

8. Medical Disclaimer

Our content is for information only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Read our full Medical Disclaimer.
